The campaign phase has started!
Today, July 1st, officially kicks off the campaign phase for this year’s CS/VCS election, and you’ll start seeing Richard and I making the rounds… engaging in regional forums, answering more of your questions, and talking about what “Forward, Together” really means for the future of STARFLEET.
As the IG recently shared, this election is moving into a “Vote of Confidence” phase. With no other tickets submitted, we’ll be the only names on the ballot in August. Members will be asked to vote either For or Against the Case/Sams team stepping into office on January 1, 2026.
But here’s the key: for the election results to be valid, we need at least 20% of the active membership to cast a ballot… and of those votes, a simple majority must be in favor of our team. So even though it’s a one-ticket race, your vote still matters. A lot.
That said – our approach hasn’t changed. This campaign has always been about hearing from you. What do you want to see from your membership? What do you want your leadership to focus on? The coming weeks are a chance for open dialogue, honest questions, and a real look at the vision we’re bringing to the table.
We’re not here to win by default. We’re here to earn your trust. Let’s talk about the future we can build together: one grounded in service, innovation, and our shared love of Trek.
